The Learning and Life Skills program is for students with developmental disabilities whose assessments indicate this program is required to build cognitive and adaptive behaviour skills. The LLS program is an intensive specialized program provided by Special Education teachers Clarington Central. The program’s focus is on literacy, numeracy, life skills and social skills that will enable students to reach their full potential.
The Learning and Life Skills Program is an integral part of Clarington Central. Our educators and support staff work together to ensure that programming is organized around students' assessed strengths and needs; that students are integrated into school life, and that we all work together as part of a circle of care that includes school and board staff, community partners, caregivers and the students themselves.
